About Me

Hi there! Welcome to mittenmama.com!

I’m mittenmama, an American mom of two young daughters living in Tokyo, originally from Michigan, USA.

After studying Japanese language and culture at university in the US, I moved to Japan for graduate studies. I later worked in marketing and PR at a tech company in Tokyo before stepping back to focus on raising my family.

Having experienced life in Japan as a student, working professional, and now a mom, I love sharing practical guides and stories through both local and foreign perspectives!
